What is SIBO?
About 20% of the world population has been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). This diagnosis often times leaves people with symptom management treatment but no cure. However, research shows that with further investigation, 70-80% of people with IBS are actually dealing with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO). And the good news is that SIBO is treatable! I myself healed from SIBO and have helped hundreds of patients heal from it, too.
Where It Begins
Many patients come to me feeling fatigued, no matter how much sleep they get. They also feel anxious or depressed. They carry a daily general sense of “feeling off.” They do research and come to a conclusion that maybe their thyroid is off or they have too much cortisol. And it often turns out to be more than one factor. However, one innate response is either going to help them feel better addressing those deficiencies, or it will keep them stuck- the nervous system.
